Metal detector BLISSTOOL LTC64X (THE BEAST) v6 with 11" BLISSTOOL DD28SC2 search coil out with metal detector Minelab Explorer II with 18"x15" DETECH SEF search coil. Daryn Groves explain the effects of too much GAIN and how to ground balance correctly THE BEAST. A must watch video for all THE BEAST users.
Below are published the full guidelines of Daryn Groves about the video, the GAIN and the right ground balance and set of THE BEAST v6:
"Take a look at how the GAIN when forced can almost turn the detector blind!!
Its a case of full beam in the fog, it aint gonna get you anywhere just a lot of unnecessary hassle.
With the greatest of respect, there are not many who adopt this approach, then wonder why the feedback is poor, well its because you have over focused, even Gain 1 can have this effect in hughly mineralised ground (fog ).
Follow my example of how to find the correct Gain and focus for that specific ground .
I also hear of users of the v6 saying that t does not dusc out deep iron and coke etc,
Again you are not using the v6 correctly !!
0-0,5 gain,=Ore Mode
Gain between o,5 and 1,5 = similar behavior as the v3, v4 and v5 as in discrimination etc
This next level of the Beast is what gives you guys your troubles, you take the Gain past 1.5 , now the BEAST is just that a BEAST.
The discrimination toggle must fo to 1 or 2 at least to back up the discrimination for the added requirements of high Gain.
IF YOU DO NOT CORRECT THIS BY UPPING THE DISC TOGGLE, YOU WILL DIG DEEP IRON ALL DAY LONG!!!
There is not a machune that will go deeper than the BEAST when youmhave the Gain on 1,5.
Use the Gain wisely and understand that you must back up the disc for the greatwr depths.
I feel it would pay for you to watch the whole video as its shows the effect of to much gain ,pushing the machine to its max does not pay it just simply cant see the "wood for the trees".
So many times I have seen settings used with bad results and these results are down to the user, ,pumping up the BLISS/BEAST.
watch how to GB correctly to find the BEAST true focus for that ground, sometimes it could involve turning the gain to 0 to get a clearer picture, PUSHING THE BLISS WILL ONLY MAKE THINGS WORSE!!
Do not be concerned that the BEAST on zero wont go deep enough, it will go as deep as the rest and deeper !!
